By car

The Westwork Corvey World Heritage Site is clearly signposted on the City Ring, the B83 and in the town of Höxter. Parking is free of charge in the visitor car park near the main entrance.

By train and bus

Take the railway line RB84 “Eggebahn” (Paderborn – Altenbeken – Höxter – Holzminden) to “Höxter-Rathaus” and change to bus no. HX5 to reach the Corvey bus stop.

By bicycle

Both the R99 Weser Route and Euroroute R1 pass through Corvey. The Monasteries and Gardens Route offered by Kulturland Kreis Höxter as part of its Monastic Landscapes tourism programme also includes the Westwork Corvey World Heritage Site among its destinations.

On foot

  • The direct route from Höxter city centre to Corvey follows Corbiestraße and Corveyer Allee (2 km)
  • The route along the Weser river starts at Höxter Rathaus train station (ca. 3 km).

By tour boat

Tour boats operated by “Flotte Weser”

Tour boats from/to Bad Karlshafen stop at the Corvey jetty. One trip daily (excepting Mondays) from end of April to mid-October. For more information please go to:
